HPCS 2017 Student Volunteers

The 15th International Conference on High Performance Computing & Simulation (HPCS 2017) is a premier international forum where scientists, designers, researchers, systems engineers, users and many more from various disciplines come together to debate and shape the future of high performance computing systems and technologies, design and practice, as well as modeling and simulation. At HPCS 2017, we will turn our focus to what happens when our HPC systems are used "in the wild" and in advanced modeling and simulation of ever more complicated phenomena and real world solutions.

Student volunteers are essential to the success of the HPCS conference. We are looking for a number of student volunteers to assist with the smooth running of HPCS this year. To be a student volunteer, you must be a student at the time of the conference. We are more than happy to accept undergraduate, Masters, and PhD students. We need friendly, enthusiastic and reliable volunteers to help us out. Students of all backgrounds, regardless of discipline, are encouraged to apply. You do not need to have a paper accepted to participate as a HPCS student volunteer. No previous student volunteer experience is required. Volunteers must commit to an agreed to work schedule at the conference during the July 17-21, 2017 period. There will be a student volunteers' orientation on the weekend before the conference.

To thank you for your help as a student volunteer, you would receive free registration for the conference (including all workshops and technical sessions). Additional benefits are being sought and may be offered.

The volunteer duties provide a unique opportunity to interact closely with HPCS contributors, participants, and other students and volunteers. Volunteering provides a structured, cordial environment for students in various stages of their research career to become part of the HPCS and other related communities.

If you are interested in being a student volunteer at HPCS 2017, please contact the students volunteers chairs for an application form. The deadline for applications is May 30, 2017 (23:59 EST) and applicants will be notified of our decision by June 30, 2017 (23:59 EST).

We look forward to hearing from you.
